ABOUT ME
For me, fitness has always been more than just a routine – it's been the one constant in life, a true foundation. Growing up, moving frequently meant making friends was tough, but sports and working out always helped break the ice and build connections.
I was raised in a highly athletic and competitive home where fitness, exercise, and diet were a natural way of life. It wasn't until later that I realized this wasn't everyone's normal! (My first real chocolate at age 10 was a delicious, eye-opening moment)!
My time in the U.S. Army further solidified my passion. Despite being one of the few openly gay soldiers, I found my 'tribe' through shared sweat and relentless training. We pushed our limits, connected deeply, and left the day's burdens at the gym door. This experience, especially leading "PT failures" to success, powerfully showed me how fitness transforms not just bodies, but minds – instilling new pride and confidence both in and out of uniform.
Beyond the intensity, base life was also about connection and release. Our tents filled with singing, chaotic dancing, and laughter – moments where we could truly be ourselves, leaving the soldiers at the door. That blend of intense effort and joyful camaraderie is something I've carried with me.
With years of experience running both large gyms (as Director of Personal Training) and popular boutique fitness studios (as GM), I've seen it all. I understand that effective fitness needs to be backed by science, focused on tangible results, and above all, built on an incredible, supportive experience.
That's the spirit we're bringing to Provincetown. At Basecamp Provincetown, we're not just about reps and sets; we're about empowering you to find your strength, connect with others, and embrace a healthier, happier you – right here in our vibrant Ptown community."
